In a cast iron or ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat, cook sausage until browned and no longer pink, breaking it up with the back of a wooden spoon, 6-8 minutes. 2. Drain fat. Add marinara and water to the pan and bring to a simmer. Add ravioli and let simmer until pasta is tender and sauce is slightly thickened (10 minutes). 3. Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, stir together ricotta and egg and season with salt and pepper. Cooked spinach is a nice addition. Drop a spoonful of ricotta mixture all over the ravioli and let cook for 3 minutes. 4. Sprinkle mozzarella all over, then transfer the skillet to the oven and broil until the cheese is golden and melted (approximately 3 minutes). 5. Let cool and serve.
